Measure the space.
Check the conditions.

Start with the cabinet cutout. A nominal oven size does not describe the opening, support or electrical requirements.

  1. Record the existing cutout width, height and usable depth at several points.
  2. Identify single or double oven and standard versus flush installation.
  3. Check minimum and maximum cutout limits, support platform, trim overlap and adjacent doors.
  4. Have the installer confirm electrical supply, junction-box location and any approved installation combination.
